National Cherry Blossom Parade - Dance Tour

Your dance group can perform tap on Constitution Avenue in front of thousands of people in the yearly televised event, The National Cherry Blossom Parade!

The 2021 National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade is Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 10:00am to 12:00 noon, rain or shine. One of DC’s largest spectator events, the energy-filled Parade runs along Constitution Avenue from 7th to 17th streets, NW, and is televised live. Vibrant costumes and blossom-inspired décor create the look of the nation’s premier springtime parade. Giant colorful helium balloons, elaborate floats, marching bands from across the country, and performers burst down Constitution Avenue in a grand spectacle of music and showmanship seen only once a year during the Festival!

Dance groups are invited to participate on the ALL-STAR DANCE TEAM for the National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade. Each participating studio will be sent pre-written choreography to learn in the weeks prior to the parade. There will be a rehearsal the night before the parade and again on the parade morning. Hundreds of student dancers will participate in the unforgettable experience that will be televised on national TV!

Dance studios will have the option of a fully customizable tour package including Washington National Ballet Performances at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Theatre Performances, Smithsonian Museums, Ghost Tours of Washington DC, Night Tours of the Monuments and Memorials, The National Zoo, Hotel, Meals, Transportation, and more!
