Welcome to The Disney Honors, a non-competitive music festival presenting the nation’s foremost high school instrumental and choral ensembles. There’s one thing that truly establishes The Disney Honors as the preeminent music festival…and it’s all in a name. With world-class Disney Resort accommodations and guest service, excellent performance venues, credible education offerings and magical special events, the difference is distinctly Disney. Nothing defines a Disney affair more than The Disney Honors Celebration Gala. It is a crowning event paying tribute to all of the accomplishments of the festival participants.
When is The Disney Honors?
The Disney Honors National Concert Band and Orchestra Invitational and The National Choral Invitational are prestigious musical experiences that take place over two separate weekends each spring.
Who can participate?
High School ensembles eligible to participate include:
■ Concert Bands, Symphonic Bands, and Wind Ensembles
■ Full Orchestras, String Orchestras, and Chamber Orchestras
■ Mixed Chorus, Women’s Chorus, Men’s Chorus, Chamber Choirs, and Vocal Ensembles
How do you apply?
To participate, ensembles qualify by submitting a completed application, recording of their ensemble, application fee and three nominations from music educators and leaders familiar with the program. A select panel will review material. If selected, each ensemble will receive an official invitation.
In conjunction with Festival Disney, your group can take advantage of Disney Performing Arts Workshops, Magic Music Days, Festival Disney , or the Walt Disney World® Candlelight Processional and Massed Choir Program.
